I used to use the Sterilite blue fun boxes for my laundry baskets. I loved them and was thoroughly disappointed when they were discontinued and I couldn't buy more. I now have 2 little ones and have more laundry than ever. Not being able to buy more fun boxes and being the person that I am, all my laundry baskets much match. So I bought two of these sets of 6. I use the baskets to sort my laundry into loads and they are the perfect size to estimate a load of laundry. They easily stack to keep out of the way. The handles have cut outs rather than just a lip so you can get your hand all the way around it and they are rounded so no painful edge cutting into your skin. I have a front loading washer and my only complaint is these are a tad too tall to open the door of the washer or dryer when this is on the floor in front of either. I used to be able to do this with my blue fun box, but I guess I will have to change habits and try to remember to open the door 1st before setting down the basket. If I was given the choice, I don't know that I would sacrifice the capacity for the height dimension and I prefer the cube shape over the alternative of rectangle 2-load baskets.

I have three of these and I love them. They were super inexpensive and they are way sturdier than any other laundry basket I've had. I bought mine at Walmat, though, and I think I only paid $5 each. That comes to $30 (if I bought six baskets like in this Amazon selection) plus I didn't pay shipping. Make sure you check out local prices before paying the online price plus shipping!

The only thing I was disappointed with was the size of the basket, but this is on me as it accurately gives the dimensions. However, I would say to take a look if you have a measuring tape and visualize how big we are talking about here. It is bigger than a milk crate, but smaller than what I think of as a regular sized laundry hamper. In fact, I think a comparison to a milk crate is quite apt. It is bigger, but has the same square design. I like that about the crates. I also enjoy the pack of 6, as it seems I am always looking for my laundry baskets. I use them for many things beyond laundry, such as moving random items, packing a car with car wash supplies, gathering camping supplies to throw in the back of the trunk, transport a lot of recyclables outside, etc. Good baskets.
