These NiMH batteries have really improved. Long life, long shelve life after charging, and low internal resistance. I'm using them in a camera flash.

They don't hold a charge very long. If you use them right after charging they'er fine but if you let them sit for a week or more you will most likely need to recharge them.

I purchased a variety of LSD (low self-discharge batteries) and a PowerEx MH-C9000 charger. Per the instructions on the charger, the proper action to take with new batteries (pre-charged or not) is to use the "break-in" function which allows you to set the capacity value for the batteries. In this case, 2400 mAh on 4 brand new batteries. After the break-in function charged the batteries, rested for one hour, discharged the batteries, rested for one hour, and finally charged the batteries the result was each battery holding 2250 mAh +/- 10 mAh.

All in all, this is not terrible, but it is not the capacity stated. They are still in the highest end of capacity for LSD batteries, but not quite as high as they stated.
